  • High school diploma/GED; construction coursework or trade training preferred.
  • 1-2+ years overseeing homes from foundation to closing. Relative experience may be applicable in combination with building experience.
  • Have a valid driver’s license .
  • Remains steady during conflicts, inspections, or homeowner concerns by thinking through responses, managing personal reactions, and maintaining professionalism.
  • Maintains trust with trades, homeowners, and internal partners by communicating expectations clearly and addressing issues early.
  • Remains calm during inspections, delays, and homeowner issues while focusing on problem solving and keeping the job moving forward.
  • Collaborates effectively with trades and internal teams, prioritizes overall job success, and supports others as needed.
  • Proactively addresses problems before they escalate, identifies improvement opportunities, and owns job level results.
  • Must be able to prioritize and have strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy, with strong follow up and follow through
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong work ethic, self-motivation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule and coordinate vendors, trade partners, inspectors and others for the construction of new homes in order to maintain scheduled baselines
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite/work environment
  • Maintain all required Best Management Practices' for each home/community under your supervision
  • Assist in permitting individual jobs as needed
  • Review and approve purchase orders for work performed and materials ordered
  • Communicate at least one time per week via telephone with each customer with our sales agent present
  • Oversee completion of Verification of Completion List
  • Meet with customers on site for walk-throughs and other meetings when necessary
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Assist in recruiting trade partners
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times
  • Adhere to and enforce OSHA requirements on the job site

SKILLS:

  • Must have great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Great attention to detail, with organizational and prioritization skills
  • Quick to learn new software and systems
  • Equally successful working independently and as a part of a team
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments.
  • Able to work while standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Work primarily involves standing / walking.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Occasional travel to other divisional locations.
