Build Process

Step 1

Choose Your Dream Community and Floor Plan

Start your home journey by selecting the community and floor plan that best fits your lifestyle. Our sales team will guide you through available options, including homesites and structural choices, and help you every step of the way. Once your selections are finalized, you’ll sign your contract and review all the important details together.

Step 2

Finance Your New Home

Before selecting your design finishes, you’ll meet with a mortgage lender to explore your financing options, establish your budget, and get pre-qualified. While you’re welcome to use any lender, our preferred partner, Silverton Mortgage, may offer up to $7,500 toward closing costs to help make your transition even smoother.

Step 3

Meet With Your Designer

Once your contract is signed and financing is underway, the fun really begins. During this phase of the process, you’ll be partnered with one of our expert Interior Designers to select the finishes and features that bring your home to life. This step takes place before construction begins, ensuring every detail reflects your personal style.

Step 4

Preconstruction Meeting

Meet with your personal builder and review your home plans, along with what to expect during the construction process. Shortly after this meeting, foundation will be poured.

Step 5

Framing Walkthrough

Meet with your personal builder at your homesite to review your selected options and overall layout. With framing complete and before sheetrock is installed, you’ll see the structure along with initial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work. This is a great time to ask questions and get a behind-the-walls look at your home.

Step 6

New Homeowner Orientation

Tour your completed home with your builder to review your selections and the condition of finishes. You’ll also receive helpful care and maintenance tips, along with an overview of your Harris Doyle Homes Warranty Agreement.

Step 7

Final Walkthrough

Held just before closing, this is your opportunity to walk your fully completed home and celebrate the final result. Any items noted during your
New Homeowner Orientation will be reviewed to ensure everything meets your expectations so you can head into closing with confidence.

Step 8

Closing

The day is finally here! Your Closing Attorney and Closing Coordinator will provide all the details you need leading up to closing day, including timing and required funds. At closing, you’ll receive the keys to your new home and officially become a Harris Doyle homeowner. Congratulations!
